This device, resembling a studio mixer, you can create a fundamentally new way of fonts. It works similar to the principle of analog audio synthesizers: the form of characters in the font is changed by switching toggle switches and a change in the position of the regulators. The device developed by engineers Mick Rob (Rob Meek) and Frank Muller (Frank Muller), was named Meek FM Typographic Synthesizer.
It consists of a controller and a special software that allows the operator to dynamically adjust the parameters to create new fonts. With the help of the controller can adjust a variety of settings: vertical and horizontal dimensions of the font to use distortion and other effects. Each action is accompanied by an audible signal that will support the user in a creative mood. Applying changes to one of the characters are automatically modifies the whole entire font.
